North Haven, NY

MPLA created gardens to complement the homeowners extensive art collection. We drew from the colors and materials found in the artwork to define spaces with steps and terraces where required. MPLA also converted most of the existing lawn to native grass and wildflower meadow. Existing woodland and bluff areas had become inundated with invasive plants, which were removed and the woodland restored with native understory. Low stone walls were created to provide separation between lawn and natural materials. MPLA also assisted in obtaining permits from the village and homeowners association.
